Wonderful
Loved the little amenities at reception, face mask, hair brush and little things I had forgotten to pack Good breakfast
No bath in our room, but shower was above average No view (didn’t really matter, we were out all day) Would have liked an early check in, 3pm was a long time to wait around until. All hotels seem to be 3pm with”no wriggle room on the time”

The hotel is not very flexible regarding the type of rooms. We were asking for a room for 3, if possible a double bed and a single one and instead they put 3 single beds and one of them was smaller than the other two

Excellent breakfast and really enjoyable stay
Great amenities (skincare products, free coffee all day, welcome drink). Amazing breakfast (delicious and fresh). Clean, modern room with an efficient use of space. Very friendly staff. Pretty good location, right next to a metro station and train station.
The room is very small, but that’s quite normal for hotels in Japan.

What was the highlight of The Royal Park Canvas - Osaka Kitahama
Convenient Location Right Beside Kitahama Station
Kitahama station is right next door and was so convenient to take the Sakaisuji metro line. The busier Midosuji line is also just a 10 min walk away. It was conveniently located by good cafes and restaurants along the river. There is a Family Mart convenience store next door as well. The room is small and we brought smaller/medium sized suitcases and it was a bit of a tight squeeze to open them and walk around them. The bed was comfortable and we liked the shades which kept the room dark in the morning. We were able to store our suitcases in the lobby before check-in. We were also provided tokens per person, per night for a small drink. Free toiletries and other beauty supplies (brushes, hair ties, face masks if they didn't run out) were also provided in the lobby. We were able to do laundry for ¥600 per load. There are only 3 machines and they were often all taken, but we just had to wait until the next one was done. The best part of the hotel is the convenient location to the subway line which made it easy to get around Osaka.
We stayed there for 4 nights and they came to the room almost everyday to change the beds and towels. We put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door for 2 of the nights, but a note was left at our door the 2nd morning saying they needed to come into the room to clean it. Some people may prefer changing the beds and towels everyday, but it seems wasteful. I think it would be best to ask guests if they would like their room changed everyday or not, especially for a short stay.
